What we do
Six things we get called for most
Everything below is done at your location. If the job genuinely needs a lift or a workshop bay, we'll tell you on the phone before we set off — not after.
Servicing & oil changes
Full or interim service at your gate. Engine oil and filter, air filter, fuel filter where accessible, plugs, belts, fluids topped and levels recorded so you know what was low and why. Old oil taken away with us.
Brakes & suspension
Pads, discs, drums, shoes, brake fluid, handbrake adjustment. Shocks, bushes, ball joints and wheel bearings. Serekunda's roads are hard on suspension — we hear a lot of knocking and we fix a lot of it.
Batteries & starting
Won't turn over, clicks once, or dies overnight. We test the battery under load, check the alternator is actually charging, and clean up the terminals and earths that cause half the "dead battery" calls we get.
Roadside & breakdown
Flat tyre, overheating, snapped belt, no start. Call us before you call a tow — a good share of breakdowns are fixable where the car sits, and that's the difference between an afternoon and a week.

About the garage
Built around the fact that cars don't break down at the garage
Tulip Garage started with one van, one toolbox and a simple observation: in Serekunda, getting a car to a workshop is often harder than fixing the car. Traffic on the Kombo Sillah Highway, a car that won't start, a job that means taking a morning off — by the time you've solved the logistics, the fault has cost you a day you didn't have.
So we turned it around. The workshop comes to the vehicle. Our van carries hand tools, a trolley jack and stands, a battery load tester, an OBD-II reader, a compressor, and a stock of the consumables we replace most often — filters, belts, brake pads, bulbs, coolant, oil. For anything we don't carry, we have suppliers in Serrekunda and Kanifing we can reach the same day.
We work on the everyday cars people actually drive here: Corollas, Sunnys, Elantras, Picantos, older Mercedes diesels, the occasional Hilux that has earned its scars. We're just as happy under a 2004 Corolla as under something newer, and we'll always tell you honestly when a repair isn't worth the money.
